In this fun social experiment, volunteers are asked to go up to complete strangers and say something nice about them, among doing a number of other nice things throughout the day. The video delves into the benefits of kind actions on one’s own well being. The small study concludes that being kind increases happiness 9-22%.
- What nice things could you do today? Be specific and list them out.
- What do you think will be the benefit of doing all of these things?
- What is hedonistic adaptation? How can we avoid it?
- Do you think we’d have the same benefits to ourselves if we did nice things for those personal benefits?
